| Description: | APP Modified Polymeric Waterproofing Membrane (HMHDPE as Center Core) Item Code: ShaliPlus Superior ShaliPlus: Superior ShaliPlus is a heavy duty APP (Atactic Polypropylene) modified polymeric waterproofing membrane composed of a high-density polyethylene sheet (HMHDPE) as center core, which protects against water and moisture. The center core is sandwiched on both sides by high quality polymeric bitumen mix having high softening point, high heat resistance and cold resistivity to make it ideal for all waterproofing treatments. The polymeric bitumen mix is protected on both sides with thermo fusible HMHDPE film. The finished membrane has good elongation to absorb all structural movements and is extremely pliable and flexible to adapt all contours. STP Superior ShaliPlus Aluminium is also available with 75-micron aluminium top. It is a heavy duty polymeric waterproofing membrane composed of high-density 100 micron polyethylene (HMHDPE) as center core and an Aluminium top to prevent disintegration of bitumen and provide UV protection. Uses: Superior ShaliPlus is recommended for waterproofing of rooftops, basements and terrace gardens. Method of Application: Clean the surface thoroughly to make it smooth. Apply a coat of ShaliTex Primer @ 0.3 litre per sqm. Apply a coat of hot applied STP Bitumen 85/25 @ 1.2 kg per sqm. Superior ShaliPlus membranes are sealed with overlap of 75 mm to 100 mm width/length wise. Outstanding Features: High softening & high penetration. Dimensional stability. Flexibility at very low temperature. Practically no ageing. Aluminium topping protects membrane against UV light. ShaliPlus: ShaliPlus is a polymeric waterproofing membrane. It has a centre core of 20 micron High Molecular High Density Polyethylene (HMHDPE) film coated on both sides with Polymer Modified Bitumen, which is protected by a thermofusible film. The HMHDPE Film is the reinforcement barrier against water and moisture. The polymeric membrane has an elongation exceeding 300% to absorb all structural movements and has a very high tensile strength and cold flexibility to adapt to all contours. ShaliPlus 20 is also available with 40 micron aluminium topping on the top side to prevent disintegration of bitumen and provide UV protection. Uses: ShaliPlus is recommended for waterproofing of rooftops, basements and terrace gardens. Method of Application: Clean the surface thoroughly to make it smooth. Apply a coat of ShaliTex Primer® @ 0.3 ltr/ sqm on the clean surface. This should be followed by a coat of hot applied STP Bitumen 85/25 @ 1.2 kg/sqm. Lay and press ShaliPlus on the hot bitumen. A minimum overlap of 75 mm to 100 mm is needed between the two rolls of membrane and should be sealed with blown bitumen. ShaliPlus is to be topped with screed or tiles as the case may be.
